Well, mostly, I'm on here today to let you know that I'm going to be on a little bit more often.

You see, I had gotten seriously burned out before the old site went down. When I checked and found out that it was down, I put a backup plan into motion and we created this version of the site from scratch. I still love the Thundercats and most things '80's, but running the site from day to day was wearing on me pretty bad. Add to that my love life at the time... which was still in turmoil from my ex-husband leaving me and me losing my mind (quite literally!!!!!), finding a new man, having a baby, trying to get my older two sons back from the ex-mother-in-law (still haven't quite gotten that part finished yet!), and trying to find a big enough place for all 5 of us to live that is within budget... you can see where my energies have gone over the past 2 years...

I've been watching Thundercats episodes online lately and showing my almost 9 month old son what is GOOD entertainment!!!! I've been staying at home with the baby, and every now and then, I get my boys for a weekend. Like this weekend, Mother's Day, I have them... they are playing in the bedroom with the baby right now. Lil guy is getting so big and heavy, he's cruising, has his bottom two front teeth in, and KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM!!!!!!

Big Bear, as I call my boyfriend, is over at his mother's apartment right now... I'm going to miss living this close to her when we move at the end of this month. Yes, I found a bigger place, even though it's a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath Townhouse in a seriously BAD neighborhood. We just couldn't afford anywhere else at this time. I'm going to apply for housing as soon as possible so we can get into an actual HOUSE by then end of the next school year. Hopefully, it'll be into a better part of town.

Bear and I have been taking parenting classes so we can be better parents. Those happen every Tuesday, every week. Since we're doing that, Bear is off work on Mondays and Tuesdays every week (unless he volunteers for an extra day / night at work) and that means that I tend to NOT be online on those nights. Then, when most people are online, I'm either in bed or chasing a very mobile baby all over the apartment. Unless  he's eating or napping, I'm chasing him!!!!!

Anyway, that's enough from me... what has been going on with everyone else?

Hey Ly, you ok over there? I heard on the news this morning about the tornadoes near Norman, OK, and I remembered that you live in that area. I hope you and your family are safe.

We're okay and my older boys are okay out in Little Axe. Their school was torn up pretty badly in the tornadoes on Monday and it looks like they are now out of school for the rest of the summer. I had to go outside and watch the funnels spinning in the sky and it was pretty neat. But I mourn the loss of a few things... Country Boy IGA out in Little Axe was a grocery store that helped everyone when they needed it. There were a few times that I had to go ask for food from them when I was living back in my house with no electricity or running water and no help was on the way at the time. Country Boy was a community run store and I hope that they will rebuild it bigger and better than it was before.

The Loves on Choctaw Rd and I-40 was one that I used to work at YEARS ago. I can't say that I'm sorry to see it gone, but I'm very glad that there was no loss of life!!!! There is another Loves just 10 miles up the road from that one. The Truck stop on the other side of the highway had a great little restaurant that catered to all types of appetites.  And if you asked for a HUGE bowl of Cottage Cheese, you got it!!! (Yes, I happen to LOVE cottage Cheese that much!!!!!)

I don't know the status of my old place out there. I'm about to lose it to taxes anyway. I just can't come up with the almost $1800.00 to pay them off.

Now on to Norman: If you go looking around the internet for videos of Tornadoes in Norman, you will most likely see one that blows over a Van on Highway 9. That is just a few hundred FEET from where Bear works although it appears that his store is just fine (unfortunately!!! He really wants to collect unemployment without having any fault in it at all!) We will be moving over VERY close to where that was filmed at the end of the month. Luckily, it seems that those apartments are still in good shape. The place where my boys have had numerous birthday parties took some serious damage but the main building is still there. Maybe now they can replace the siding that would leave light Blue powder all over you if you leaned up against the building!!! I haven't heard from everyone just yet as to the extent of the damage here, but I'm keeping my ears and eyes open. Maybe I'll remember to take the camera with me when I do get to get out of this apartment and to where SOME of the damage is... We'll just see how rushed I am to get out the door!

Other than that, we're fine and safe and sound... we'll see what tonight's storms bring us since there is a chance for more tornadoes tonight.
